Minimum of 0.70 carat center diamonds of better quality including natural fancy colored diamonds. Lab reports - commonly known as certificates - are particularly helpful, especially from the GIA, and are not to be confused with a simple insurance appraisal.

Rubies, emeralds and sapphires weighing 3.0 carats and larger of fine quality. Please note that while average grade colored stones are plentiful and generally not terribly valuable on the wholesale level, there is a very strong demand for larger stones of fine quality, which truly are scarce and highly valued. It is especially difficult to determine which is which without physical examination.
